I think Squenix is totally insane. There's a 'fatigue' system in FF14. One of the makers explained it as a system where people who only play a short while every day, as opposed to the hardcore grinders, will feel rewarded. But it sounds more like a punishment.

What it does is, the longer you play, the less experience you get. If you play for more than 8 hours, you start getting a penalty to EXP. After playing 15, you get close to 0% EXP. And what's the kicker? It takes REAL WORLD TIME to reduce fatigue, and the timer is set for 1 week blocks. So in fact, if you played 8 hours straight in one day, you would have to not play FOR ONE WEEK in order to not be penalized any EXP.

Are they totally off their rockers? How does anybody at Squenix think this is a good idea? How is this supposed to 'reward even players who only play a short time every day'? And it's not like FF14 is a free-to-play game either, it's got a monthly fee like almost everything else!
