Finished about 2/3s of the stories in BB:CS's story mode. The pathways are a lot simpler than in BB:CT, which is nice. You don't purposely have to lose battles just to bump your completion percentage up, which is very nice.

And each character, except Hakumen, has a gag story. Sort of like how Tager had GOLDEN TAGER X in BB:CT. (Hakumen doesn't like jokes, apparently, although he does make an appearance in Tager's gag story going "我は空!我は…以下略 推して参る!!".) Some of the gag stories are pretty hilarious.

Also, if you get a character's bad end you get a little featurette called "Tasukete! Kokonoe-hakase!" which is a little SD-animated scenario, just like the Oshiete! Litchi-sensee! clips from the first game. Just like it sounds, it features Kokonoe purportedly telling you how not to get the bad ending, although really it's just more excuse for her and the characters to act funny. BlazBlue does have a lot more humor to it than Guilty Gear did.

Not to say it doesn't have a serious story too. The stuff in CS is even more armchair-quantum-physics-based than the first game, there's a lot of talk about "observation" (in a Heisenberg uncertainty principle sense) and Schrodinger's cat. The kanji for "Continuum Shift" too is 確率現象, i.e. "probability phenomenon".

And I can't remember what was known from the first game and what's new here, but indications are that the Roku Eiyuu (Six Heroes) are:
-Hakumen
-Terumi AKA Hazama
-Juubei (Kokonoe's dad)
-Nine (the witch, the one who taught magic to humanity, and Kokonoe's mother... eww bestiality)
-Valkenhayn (currently Rachel's butler)
-Trinity

So two of the Roku Eiyuu are already playable characters, and two of them are coming as DLC (Valkenhayn, and presumably Platinum the Trinity is or is at least related to Trinity). Juubei should be a lock for BlazBlue 3, I would imagine.
