Yaay Nisemonogatari is coming soon! Starting in January. Nisemonogatari is the sequel to Bakemonogatari...
Bakemonogatari, prior to Madoka, was the best-selling BD in Japan. It's also from Shaft and involves a lot of the same personnel. But I don't know if it's liscensed for the US or not. It's a series that, if I were a professional translator, I'd do everything I could to NOT be put on that job. Not only does the series rely on a ton of phonetic puns that would not make sense in English, but the series also just sprinkles random archaic kanji everywhere that native speakers would have to look up in a dictionary... it'd be like if a US show kept putting Olde English words up on the screen.
Anyway it's a shame, cause it's a really good series. Looking forward to Nisemonogatari. The light novels that its based on have a lot more to go (Kizumonogatari, Hanamonogatari etc.) sooo... who knows how long they'll keep animating it.
