I come home from an overnight shift and am absolutely bombarded with fantastic news/links. Wow.
Madoka-related
First up, animeangel sent me this:

Next, the special features for Madoka Vol. 5 revealed:

First off, more of the guest commentators. Turns out Ep. 9's special guest commentator is... Katou Emiri, AKA Kyuubei. Still an odd choice given the context of that episode. Then Ep 10 has no guest commentator, which I guess is appropriate since it's a very Homura-centric episode, and Saitou Chiwa is one of the commentators on every episode.
But more importantly the special CD! We get another Drama CD scripted by Urobuchi Gen, this one called "Farewell Story". AND, there's a song on there that's going to be the new Episode 9 Ending... sung by Kitamura Eri and Nonaka Ai, AKA Sayaka and Kyouko! (I don't know if I mentioned it before, but the BluRay release of Volume 1 added a special Madoka song as the ending theme to Episode 1.) The fantastic Ep. 9 with a new Sayaka/Kyouko duet... ;_____; canon lesbians!!

New System shows off some of the new rare weapons. You can see how powerful the rare Lu Bu Halberd is... 5 slots and level 5 death are good, but other weapons have similar. But the thing has freaking base attack 84, which is waaaaay higher than any other weapon in the game. They also show off some of the new weapon sets. Guo Jia's ball and cue, the new dragon spear turns out to be for Zhao Yun after all, and Xiahou Dun gets his new sword. Under New Characters you can see Pang De and Wang Yi in their full glory. Cool. And the screenshots section has a lot about them too. I originally called Wang Yi's weapon 'sais' since that's basically what it translated to, but the DW7 version is uh, way way bigger than real sais.
