i have never seen you sleep
but the bags under your eyes can carry my groceries
I hear you brag your fears about how you know what you know
but i never see you scared to live moment to moment
"there's no one whom i can grip the way i do to you.
you feel so warm"
your stance is must taller
i never had to perch on tiptop until now
I never knew that you could grow that much facial hair
maybe because ive known you since boyhood
but then again, you didnt believe me
had to feel it for yourself
when i told you i pay someone to rip mine out with hot wax
you know that smile that you get...?
its a lovely smile. that shows even your soul
your heart
your being is smiling
and yet, you want to have your cake,
and eat it too
i understand the importance of living life to its fullest,
but what is the emphasis on adventure,
if you have no one
that throughly knows you
to pass down your legacy?
it will be at your funeral
that i will cry some of my hardest
in my eulogy, words wouldnt even begin to describe
the portrait of the man you grew to be
You,
my love
my brother
my friend
will always be right here beside me
arm and arm
