Sai Baba's Speeches

Nov 07, 2007 16:45

My mother is a major follower of the Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi. So, at times, when she gets an opportunity (my absence is a necessary condition for this), she tunes in to the Sai Global Harmony channel on Worldspace, where among other things, they broadcast speeches of the Sai Baba.

Recently I happened to "intrude" when she was listening to ( Read more... )

How did you conclude that he cannot speak english????has he informed you inperson or through any means of communication??Making an assumption on the fact that he is a dropout and concluding he cannot speak english is baseless.
I have conversed with him and he has always responded to me in english which matches upto your expectations.(I concluded this based on the fact(your views) that the intepreter uses "COMPLICATED ENGLISH").I dont know whether its wrong to speak in your mother tongue???(what's right and what's wrong is how once looks at it).The reason why he communicates in the local language is to satisfy the rural population of Andhra Pradesh. Please visit Puttaparthi once and look at the joy of the local people when they hear his speech in Telugu.

It really shocks me when you concluded that the interpreter uses "COMPLICATED ENGLISH".I know the interpreter inperson as I was student of his,and for the past 5 years I had the privellege of listening to all his translations, not once did I find it difficult to comprehend. All the english words which he uses are from oxford dictionary with exceptions to regional words.I guarntee you that his english is not as tough when compared to the Reading Comprehension section of CAT.I always believed that you should appreciate people for their strengths and efforts. Its easy to find out something wrong but why can't people appreciate the good things.Let me put it straight, can you translate when a Kannada poet speaks???bet you can't as of now(unless you want to challenge me).

One more conclusion which is baseless that the ashram in Puttaparthi is supposed to be the second richest religious Institute in India.Unless you know the facts, please don't make such statements. To bridge the gap between Rich and Poor, people donate for they feel he is serving the society. How many hospitals in the world perform operations free of cost????how many educational Institutions provide free quality education(The Institue boasts of rankholders from all the branches, viz, science, commerce and arts),what the government cannot do to the people ,he did by providing free water to the district of Ananthpur. The problem is with our democratical system is everyone has every right to voice out their opinions, some use it to the good sense and some in the bad sense.

He has huge fan following not only from Europe, but from all over the world.Your blog title reads as "PERTINENT OBSERVATIONS",but it's an oxymoron in the real sense. Please have a visit to Puttaparthi once and make your"OBSERVATIONS" and then post your views.

(I don't know if I mentioned in the original post that the Baba's followers can't withstand the slightest criticism of his and get extremely aggressive.)

That aside, my reply to your comment would be "K"

Creating an Awareness and writing the facts,do you call that aggressive????I wouldn't call that aggressive, but will call that an "AWARENESS CAMPAIGN" .Each person has his own perceptions,no human being can have the same perception,if we had people thinking on the same lines, the world would be a fair market with all the good virtues present.Just give a thought by looking at it from the human level???has any man accomplished of what Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba has done to the society???

Again I would like to remind you ,I wasn't aggressive,It connotes a real different meaning in my books.I was just trying to create an Awareness as many people read your views.
