So yesterday, I go to do the deposit at work. I add up the amount of money in the drawer: $242 dollars. I add up the amount of money that's supposed to be in the drawer according to the Z report I ran: $1, 622 dollars.
O_O.
For the next hour, I tried to calmly think of any way to explain why we would be THAT short. For that matter, I tried to think of a reason we would have that much money in the drawer EVER.
Panic panic panic. Silent, really well composed panicking. Apparently, everyone else was really impressed with "how calm you stayed."
Riiiiiiight.
So Yvonne finally walks in, and I nicely explain the situation. She laughed and says, "Oh, that's because I ran an X report last time I did the deposit. Oopsy!"
...
...
Yvonne does the deposit every Monday. I do it every Wednesday. So basically, because she ran it wrong on Monday, I have a report in my hand telling me all the money we made from LAST Wednesday until now should be in the drawer.
I asked her how she would like for me to handle this. She told me she'd explain how later.
That's good, because I am NOT putting my name on a deposit that is 1000 dollars short. Period. No matter what stupid excuse she attaches to it. I want her name on it.
I have to leave for work in two minutes.
I so wish I was locked out of my car again...
