We're going to stay at the Trump Taj Mahal.
The pictures make it look beautiful, and we're staying in the new Chairman's Tower part of the hotel, and we have an ocean view. The windows are floor to ceiling, and there's a huge bathroom. The hotel has a pool and salon and spa and Starbucks! There is also a Hard Rock Cafe and some noodle place that is supposed to be great.
I always take the vacation that aims for authenticity, for seeing things as the locals see them. I like visiting famous landmarks, but I also just like to walk around and look at stuff and eat things and maybe end up talking to someone. Traveling is always tiring for me, because I always want to get up real early and get going with the crappy hotel breakfast, and then move on to seeing and doing everything I possibly can.
This trip will NOT be like that. It's just a trip you take to have some downtime and enjoy yourself, not to learn anything or check anything off a list, or worry about whether you've wasted your time there. So I plan to do some coffee-drinking and some reading and some pedicuring. It's going to be totally delicious.
