If you don't exercise long enough, your body will start to bitch and moan for it.
I buy these antibacterial moist towelettes so that I can frequently clean my hands without going to the restroom whihc is a flight of stairs away. My friend Bonnie and I are consistently angered by the horrid smells these come in. I like lemon but can never find it. So I settle for something like 'fresh aloe', which invariably smells like a babies diaper-covered arse. My whole room reeks now. Target has these Method brand ones with smells like pink grapefruit and french lavender, but they're supposed to be for house cleaning, and would probably melt my skin.
Couldn't sleep last night, so I watched Mean Girls, Iron Chef, cleaned my room (more like performed an exorcism on it) and to end the marathon, Love Actually. So many logic leaps in that, and total dreck when it comes right down to it, but I cried and squealed anyway. Liam Neeson's son killed me. And it presented love stories that you never really see, I liked that alot. The language barrier between Colin Firth and his Portuguese beauty was really great because A. they didn't subtitle any of it (I <3 mystery!) and B. it was in Portuguese! I love this language, and it's in my queue to learn, with French and Japanese. I really don't want mastery with any of these, just familarity. I think Portuguese has one of the coolest, melodic, most visceral sounds. I used to love love love Brazilian night at the jazz cafe I worked at because of the singer.
Fake Cheese-Its from CVS are baked and light and delicious.
I'm structuring my time a lot better than last semster, already. Imposing knitting limits, making time for yoga, not resenting every second of my RA duties...here is my course load:
1. MWF 10-11 German 240, which I learned I can take pass/fail. My advisor swears this isn't bad, if I get an A or B I can use it, if I get a D I can opt to take the 'pass'. Okay.
2. T, Tu 1-2:15 Marketing 410: Consumer Behavior. I have to market myself to the professor to get into this one. I really hope I can, it's bound to have some good dirt, as it's a School of Management course, meaning I'll be surrounded by future manipulators!
3. STPEC 296A: My colloquium! I'm teaching this, more info soon at users/original_colloq.
4. Jhallster: Independent study and data collection, management. Part internship, part mentorship, gotta meet with him to structure this. We all know my thoughts on the Sut-inator.
I can't tell if snow is falling or just blowing around.
Yikes, it's 3. Time to work on something. (See? Structure!)
Love,
Cirilia
