Rendering unto Caprice

So, I'm clicking right along with the modeling that I'll need for my first room wherein to stage some comic action, and I've kind of figured out a little story for the first sequences... here's what I've built new:

* From plans found online, I've built a stool (Check my delicious bookmarks for the link to the plans). It's not exactly like the stool in the plans, but it has a similar style. I used it more for a reference inspiration than as a blueprint. If I'd thought about it a bit more, I would have seen I didn't even need the plans, but I would have tried to build a different style of stool.
* Caprice's dress, finally redone and now fitting well. I had to add some mechanical bones (as opposed to actual bones or animation bones) to her to make her dress collide with her body properly, but I finally got it working so she doesn't phase out of her clothes when she moves. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the final scene to import her correctly, which is why she's in that stupid modeling pose. It pulled in a linked version that I couldn't edit or put in pose mode. Anyway, the dress looks great, but I need to figure out how to make it less complex, I think, because whenever she's in a scene, my poor computer starts lagging and using inordinate processor time when she's being manipulated. See her old body and dress at http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g61/skreyola/IBuiltIt/Blender/10ftroom-alcaprice.jpg
* You can't see it in the render, but I built a simplified light bulb with socket and stuck it on the ceiling of the Utility Room. I actually made two version of the light, lit and unlit. For some reason, the lit version isn't emitting any light, so I'll need to figure out how to make that work before I do the story.
* I built a light switch to stick on walls. I decided to use the fancy type that's a push button, since, while it's fancy in real life, it's very simple to model in 3D, and I don't have to fool with on and off states. Some day, I'll build a proper light switch.
* I'm in the process of building an electrical outlet (WIP screenshot here: Plates).

And here's the render:

My next step is going to be either very hard or very easy. I'm not sure which, yet. I need to build a computer keyboard.
