Okay, everyone, it's Pass-a-Post time!
Two Month Review
List and talk about (or link to discussion of, if already discussed online) the five most significant events in your life during the past two months. Here are mine, in no particular order:
1. My trip to NC
For those of you who don't know, I went to North Carolina at the beginning of October, and I only returned to Florida at Thanksgiving. This two month mission was a great experience for me. I learned a lot and made some new friends. There is still a lot of disaster recovery to be done; after a flood, a home can take years to put back together, and the people on the Outer Banks weren't the only ones hit.
2. Learning about MS Access 2000(tm)
I learned a great deal in the last two months. When I started, I didn't know much more about Access(tm) than that it is a database program. Before I left, I had used Access(tm) to build a completely new database (with more than 10 tables, over 20 forms, and several macros and bits of VisualBasic(tm) code (further increasing my aversion to VB)).
3. Writing 11 scenes for Bringing Down the Stars and Jack's Days at Iunik
I spent a lot of time reading and writing while I was away. I'm very happy to have completed 11 scenes in that time; I wasn't expecting to do any writing while away, but I ended up writing not only these 11 scenes but a short story, as well.
4. Began writing letters to my future wife
I encountered something in my devotional reading that said that faith is only real when we apply it to things important to us personally; that it is easy to believe something that doesn't matter to us. So, I took this step in acting on my faith in God's promises and wrote my first letter to my future wife.
5. I came home
My work is completed, and I am home. Coming home has presented to me a number of challenges, and most of them are still in process; very few of them are of the variety that I could have come home and taken care of them at once. Life is not often like that. Most of our challenges are things we must face not once but daily. So, I must walk daily with my Lord and face these challenges as long and as often as I encounter them.
Now it's your turn. Post this in your journal and tell us all what's been happening to you that is most significant.
