All I have to say about what I feel like today. I'm tired, sore, and a few other emotions I can't spell right now due to the lack of sleep.
Well, Saje moved out this past weekend and Kerri and I worked our asses off on the apartment. It looks good, still needs the carpets shampoo'ed but I want to wait to get everything moved in before hand. I know "Why not now when there is less stuff to move?" Mainly because I rather get everything here, move it, and clean the carpet, rather than clean the carpet, move dirty shit in, track dirtprints on a newly cleaned rug and have it go back to shit.
My dad gave me his old corner couch this weekend. Saje and I went to get it after he got off work. So we started after he got off work at 7:30 and I didn't get home and done with everything till 6am. Yea I called in. What sucks the most is that I didn't get much sleep that day either because of insomnia. I spent the day cleaning the couch to get rid of that basement smell. Yea the couch does look a little ratty but what do you expect from it being in a basement for 5+ years. And its free. It can be cleaned, no biggie.
Saje made an interesting point on the trip to my Dad's, the first time. Today, metal/alternative bands coming out or fairly new are starting to sound more country. I counted at least 6 new songs that deals mainly about "getting fucked over by an ex" or "missing an ex" Basically, bands are coming out from god knows where with a distorted "Tear in the Coors Light" song and getting famous for a one hit wonder. To be honest, I don't think Slipknot is even trying to do something anymore. After listening to their last album, I'm thinking Corey is just grabbing random words from the dictionary or using ad libs from Highlights. Linkin Park, are going the way of Limp Bizkit. Limp Bizkit, how did they ever get past the first album? I admit, I got sucked onto the bandwagon with them but I was in High School at the time. Deftones, I think Chino lost his mind, and it wouldn't surprise me seeing an ukulele in the next ablum.
I'm level 44 now on WoW. Hopefully I'll get more time to play after the apartment cleaning is done. I just got a closet and the computer room to go. I got a free 15" monitor, which I know isn't big, but I can now make another server :). Yes another one. I have an old 486 I want to make into a Linux or FreeBSD server. Probably Linux.
