Even more great news!
I just got off the phone from a researcher at the Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre and I am being assessed for participation in their brain stimulation trials including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) or possibly Magnetic Seizure Therapy.
They have a unipolar study which is what I was diagnosed with earlier this year, so it's great news.
I just did an over the phone interview and there's nothing precluding me from the trials so they are organising an appointment for me to come in early next year for a full assessment and then, if all goes well, I will spend a few hours every day for a month getting my brain worked on ;) And it's based in Prahran in Melbourne, so it's going to be much easier for me to attend.
