Life is like that...
I had an awesome day today ... things are going great :)
I was talking to one of my uncles earlier this week and he mentioned that my cousins were back visiting from miami for one (Elise) and moved back from England (Rachel). I figured i should come down and see elise seeing as she'll only be around for a lil bit.
I rode my bike (that ZZR250) down the freeway to their place, i made great time! sitting on 110km/hr on a freeway for the best part of an hour is quite boring but i was suprised as to how quickly the trip went.
After quite a sore butt, i arrived at my uncles and did the greeting thing. The girls were staying elsewhere, and Graham was going to take his sons Liam and Jeeho to breakfast, so being the favourite cousin (hehe) I was invited to join them. They had bacon and eggs type thinygs, and as bacon makes me feel crook these days with all the fat, i opted for blueberry pancakes & maple syrup.
Anyhow got back eventual after a few minor chores and caught up with the girls and their husbands. Chatted over lunch and generally just hung out.
While we were hanging out elise was talking about her best friend libby comming over. The name rang a bell but i just figured it was a name that you hear occasionally. Libby rocks up, looks VERY familiar... I'm telling the boys "I know that girl, not sure where from" ... so as she's getting up i go say hi ... turns out she's from my church!!!! no WONDER!!!
I rode home via a more scenic route up the coast, crashed out for an hour or two to recover then went to a mexican night :)
Libby walks in and we both just grin and had a bit of a chat about how she knows elise, when they met etc. I hate introducing myself to new girls at church because there is always room for misinterpretation of motives. A classic example of this dates back to my yr10 grad dinner. A friend's friend was sitting there bored, so i thought i'd say hi. She was FULLY standoffish ... I told her "Dont worry, i'm not trying to chat you up" and we ended up talking for the rest of the night :)
Well this week, although annoying with work and not being able to meet up with Loraine sucked but it was generally a great week. Its really weird but i'm feeling happier about things lately :) Hope everything is great for everyone else in LJ land :)
