I finished my libpcap wrapper!
W00tness! I feel great! I've not been a nerd for ages, and i just wrote a basic, but fairly functional c++ wrapper for libpcap ... needs some tidying (like working out why i have packets reporting a length of 4 gig ... simple arithmetic i'm sure) but it works!
What does this mean? Well there's been many an argument as to who uses how much of the downloads on the network here at my house ... i'm going to monitor every last bit of information that comes in and out of the network and log it straight to a database ... evidence/proof stops many an argument.
Tho i'm sure the argument will now shift to 'but your program prolly isnt working properly' ... introspection is a skill not common in this house!
I'll put my code online for the geeks soonish.
