So after a week of feeling like varying degrees of crap, I'm nearly back to normal. Apart from intermittent coughing I feel fine. The only annoying aftereffect is the congestion, because it means I still have trouble breathing when I sleep. Oh well.
Saturday Alex and I walked around Back Bay a bit more. I took a brief video of the reflection pool and surrounding buildings by the Christian Science Center, since it's so picturesque. Yesterday we went to Target so he could pick up some replacement appliances, and I got to daydream about what my life could be like when I finally have money to spend. Imagine: big screen TV! designer sunglasses! toilet bowl cleaner! There's a never-ending list of exciting possibilities.
Over the next couple of days I'll be kept very busy finalizing my annotations, which means that in less than a month my project proposal is due. Thankfully I'm blessed with the ability (perhaps it's a deficit?) to not let things like that frighten me until the very last minute, because intellectually I know how intimidating that is. I think the only thing that will really bother me is having to do the presentation itself, but it's a class of six students, so even that should be relatively painless.
Sometime soon I'm hoping to hit up Trident with Greg, a long-standing tradition which has been on hiatus for awhile as neither of us have much money. I know I can bring my work along and get it done at the bar there, so there's no harm. I've also been meaning to pick up the most recent copy of ID, so the sooner we go the better.
And that is all from the World of Katie, for now.
