Anywhere special planned?

Folk are probably sick of hearing me going on about it, but I'm on the trawl for restaurants that do interesting (non-cliche) veggie options ... any suggestions?

I'm off here tonight with a couple of friends.

I don't think we've got as far as a plan yet, but there are a few good places near us, so it shouldn't be hard to find something.

I'm not hugely versed in veggie places, I'm afraid, as I never look for them off my own bat. The best suggestion I can make is to look at Toptable. I think they have customer reviews.

That place looks lovely! Actually, a bit like our local place, Simplicity, though I don't know whether you'd judge their veggie offering adequate.

I'm trying to find places on par with here (hope to go there next month if you fancy hooking up), to broaden my palate and inspire own my cooking.

My target is one fancy meal out a month, and it is hard going finding places up to scratch. I'll have a trawl through Toptable and see what gems I can find ...

That looks nice, and I'd be willing to give it a shot - despite what I said above, I'm not anti-veggie, it just doesn't occur to me to look! Are these the people who moved down from somewhere like York last year?

After a brief discussion, we've settled on Black & Blue for Thursday - and a more carnivorous place is hard to imagine. They probably sneer at vegetables there, let alone vegetarians ;-)
