... and Col and I are in Curdridge (which is in the middle of Hants if you don't know), visiting Mr
grimbol. So far, we have drunk beer, drunk wine, eaten steak, drunk strange vodka, watched Amadeus (which I'd never seen, but very much enjoyed, despite it being very long indeed), slept, eaten bacon, trundled down to Portsmouth to look at ships and the very exciting toy shop, and indeed have cream tea, drunk more tea and more beer, cajoled Tom into signing up to Facebook (for the Purpose of Chess), and read books. Oh, and I got to drive the car - Jaguar XJS, huh yus! It was lots of fun on the Best Road In The Country (which doesn't go anywhere at all).
A pretty relaxed weekend, then. I'm not quite sure how I'll cope...
PS: since whenever it was I decided I should read more, I've read 22 books. That's not even halfway to 50, but I'm still proud of it.
Best recently were Nightwatch and Daywatch, which I wolfed down. Now I'm reading some Penguin Classic for to review it. It's hard work. But there we are.
