Also I notice my quality of life improves immensely when I have cash in my pocket and feel like society values my skills enough to pay me as much as other managery types. It's not just a measure of achievement, its a measure of what we value and hence are prepared to pay for. Care is apparently low on the list, although in fairness, we pay men pretty much as badly as we pay women for it.
Sorry, that was a rather tangental rant!
