30 random questions / End of year review

Dec 20, 2006 19:55

1. Do you believe in god? No, not as such. I don't quite understand personifying the Unknown to that extent.
2. Did you ever lie to your mother? Oh yes. I was a nightmare teenager, I trust you'll believe that without requiring further proof ;-)
3. Do you like cake? Yeah, sometimes. I don't like chocolate cake as much as I think I do, unless there really isn't that much great chocolate cake around... although I do bake an awesome one. True!
4. Do you have trouble falling asleep? I didn't used to. It's now got to the stage where I admit that yes, I do have insomnia. It's really kicked off this year, but started when I was about 16 or so.
5. What is your favourite colour? Blue. Do you people never pay attention, or what?!
6. Are you afraid of certain noises? Loud bangs are not a favourite. I have a bit of an aversion to bursting balloons, and, similarly, snapping rubber bands.
7. If you were an object, what would you be? Erm... damn I hate those questions... I really like little silver stars, so maybe I could be one of those.
8. Do you eat too much? Sometimes. And sometimes I don't eat at all.
9. Are you politically active? To my eternal shame, no. Actually, I blame studying politics for that directly. Too jaded.
10. Do you feel aggressive sometimes? Well, who doesn't? Though I prefer to think that I'm more assertive than aggressive, most of the time. Unless cornered, in which case I will get nasty.
11. Are you nervous? No, not by nature. I've noticed an annoying tendency to worry more as I age, but I think that I'm still a lot less nervous and afraid than others, at least externally.
12. If you were an animal, what would you be? Another one... gah... well I like cats, so that's an easy answer... I think cats have it made, by and large.
13. Are you afraid of losing control? Hehehehe, yes, of course. I've got better at giving it up, though.
14. Do you suffer from headaches? Not disproportionately so, no. I had a phase of getting migraines, but since seeing the GP and being prescribed "magic" pills, I've not had a single one.
15. Do you wear blue jeans in the office? No. I usually even forget on Jeans for Genes day, despite the fact that we're main benefactors... and neither of my two pairs are fit to be worn at present...
16. Do you like flowers? Yes, a lot. I know the arguments against cut flowers, but I love them anyway.
17. Are you afraid of water? No, it's my favourite element. I don't like swimming in the open sea, but that's due to seaweed.
18. Do you sometimes wish you were another person? Never.
19. Do you masturbate? Of course, what self-respecting person doesn't? ;-)
20. Did you believe in Santa Claus? I don't think I did, no. Not that I knew what people were on about, but I've never been great with taking things on faith.
21. Have you ever killed an animal on purpose? If we count insects, yes. I swat flies and mozzies, unless of course there's a squiddity around.
22. Are you afraid of hurting someone? I used to be petrified of it. Now, I try not to lash out unnecessarily, but if hurting someone is inevitable, especially if it prevents bigger hurt later on, I do it.
23. Did you ever dismiss somebody? From a job? No, I don't really get underlings. From my life? Yeah.
24. Have you ever dreamt that you could fly? I don't think so. I don't remember my dreams, generally.
25. Are you afraid of fire? I have respect for it.
26. Do you like music? Awww man. Is anyone going to answer 'no' here? I mean, honestly... we are, by and large, all young enough that much of our identity rests in the music we follow. And that aside, it seems to be the most easily accessible art form, and art is good for the soul. That aside, I've been known to claim that my life would be moot without it, so yeah, music is hugely important. "Liking" it doesn't even come close.
27. Did you ever get water in your nose? Oh probably... and while having your nose inflated is unpleasant, it's nowhere near as terrifying as breathing in a margarita.
28. Are you afraid of spiders? No.
29. Have you ever had sex with a person you didn't know? How do you mean? If this is like the Purity Test things about not knowing someone's name before shagging them, then yeah, that seems altogether likely. Have I ever had sex with a person I didn't know inside and out? Yes of course. I used to do one-night stands. Gah, before I really kill whatever reputation I've left, let's just stick with a simple 'yes' here, eh?
30. Do you like reality shows? Can't stand them.
