How satisfying it is

Ahhhhhh.... Sunday, and I'm roasting chicken, along with onions and garlic cloves. There will also be new potatoes, savoy cabbage, and broccoli. Also, wine. You see, it's not that I'm unable to cook, at all; I'm pretty good, and I like trying out new things, but as the saying goes, "Never do anything yourself that others can do for you." (Agatha Christie (1890 - 1976)), and I've become very good at finding cooks :-)
Still, it's good fun cooking Sunday roast, and it makes the place smell nice, so I'm feeling pretty happy about that.

I'm also making good progress on the second sock for Kiki, and I've figured out how I might make the wrist warmers (same Rib O'Doom, just a bit smaller). Oh! I also found a big bag with various knitting implements down the side of the sofa, so I've got all my needles and tools back, also the alpaca? / merino? shawl I'd been working on ages ago (weatherpixie, it's the same clamshell pattern you made). Now I can figure out the size of the Mystery Needles that currently hold the lovely soft black yarn, and, potentially, also figure out what needle size is recommended for it, provided I've still got a yarn band floating around somewhere. I sort of need to have a big tidy-up of craft things, but can't be bothered... shall fudge it, as per. Once socks and wrist warmers are done, I shall get on with my next Assignment as well ;-)
