Strangetown Round 1: Grunt + LFT, Worthington
Warnings: WooHoo, mildly cursing, probably some typos, not the best English in the world.
Worthington, first semester
First thing happening after loading the Worthington family, Frances was sent to a community lot at Campus to buy some new stuff. Mickey Dosser happens to be there as well. As you might remember, Frances and Mickey have always gotten along great, so Frances decides to take the opportunity and interact with his friend...
...it doesn´t take long until ACR decides it´s time to play other kind of games. :D
(It seems like all the time when two of my sims are romancing at a community lot, some random townie will walk towards them, stand beside them and stare creepy and finally attempt to interact with them. Although it´s so obvious they just want to be left alone!)
Jasmine is happily unaware of all the ACRness...
Frances finally finds some clothes he consider good enough to buy.
But it seems he wants even more wardrobe choices...
Me: Did you just buy the same shirt you already have?
Frances: No, of course not, you think I´m stupid? That shirt is perfection you see. I just got myself some trendier jeans.
Jasmine: I love to meet new people and everything, but before we get to know eachother you´ll have to promise not to even think of me in a romantic way. I really don´t like boys that way and besides, I´m engaged! Her name is Zoe, she´s blonde, funny, smart, romantic...
Dormie: Would you please stop your soporific monolouge? I have not even said I want to get to know you.
Mickey: I´m happy for you, Jasmine. And I promise not to try and hit on you, I´m gay you know.
Jasmine: AWESOME!
Frances: Wanna go on a date with me?
Mickey: Hell yeah! Never would I turn down such a sexbomb as you.
Frances: Great!
The good witch pays a visit and gives the whole lot a beautiful shine.
Neither Frances nor Mickey notice it at all, of course...
Frances: Do you want to go further? I have actually never done it before... have you?
Mickey: YAY! Let´s go further, we can talk later!
Frances: This was so awesome! You seemed kinda experienced though...
Mickey: Maybe I am, or maybe it´s just an inherent talant I have...
Frances: *sings a brandnew love song dedicated to Mickey*
Mickey: What the hell are you doing, you dirty boy!? Or wait... I actually liked that. Please do it again!
Frances: No problem!
And eventually both of the boys want a ring on their fingers (even if Mickey fears it as well).
The date ends great, of course :-)
Frances: This date was seriously beyond awesome!
Frances: I´ll write a love song for my little Mickey...
Later on Frances heads off to do a secret errand...
Back at home, Frances old friend Guy Wrightley calls...
Frances: Tell you what: I´m in love with Mickey! We just and the most amazing date and we even woohooed and everything...
Guy: Good for you, he´s pretty good at it...
Frances: What? Have you also woohooed him!?
Guy: Of course, who hasn´t?
Frances: Well, we´ll have to end this call anyway. I´m going to invite him over and propose. I´m kinda nervous though...
Guy: Don´t be, you can talk that guy into anything you know.
So Frances invites his lover over...
...and asks him to be his husband...
...and just like Guy said, Mickey can indeed be talked into everything.
Mickey: Wait, what did I just promise...?
Frances: It worked! It worked! And I´m feeling amazing!
Mickey: Why can´t I ever say no to anything?
Frances: This gotta be the best day of my life!
Later that night Mickey pays the lot a new visit, with a mysterious sack...
Don´t know how that little sack could contain a whole pinball machine, but thanks Mickey! :D
Then the sack gets stuck at Mickey´s back.
The following morningwhen Frances wakes up, he´s just as happy as he was when he went to bed.
After breakfast he inaugurates the new pinball machine, while the ever so annoying Llama mascots invites himself inside.
Frances decides to polish one of his windows (an autonomous interaction that is quite rare)...
...then he does it again...
...and again! XD
On top of that he cleans his toilet as well ;)
Frances wanted to interact more with Mickey, so he invites him over. Simultaneously Guy walkes by, as does the cow mascot.
Guy was greeted, (not the cow mascot, but obviously she doesn´t care) so let´s see if some WooHoo between Frances and Mickey triggers any kinds of jealousy...
Maybe Guy was too distracted by the mascot, cause he didn´t mind the WooHoo upstairs the slightest.
The evil mascot brings poor Guy to tears with her pranks though :-(
After Frances and Mickey were done WooHooing, I noticed how the Mascot walked towards Mickey. I was deadly afraid she would attempt something romantic and ruin the relationship between Frances and Mickey. But fortunately she only wanted to do even more pranks (which caused Mickey to cry as well).
After all guests have left Frances wants to WooHoo Mickey yet again... His final exam is in 5 hours though, so that´ll have to wait.
Frances: When you have been spoiled with the taste of Mickey´s delicious mouth, burned food taste even worse than it normally does!
Frances manages to get on Dean´s List, which of course fulfilled his want of earning 100 §.
Grunt
Over to the Grunts, first thing happening is the usual one:
And when I say usual I mean that either Tank or Ripp will poke the other in the chest, over and over again. Who that starts is very random, this time it was Tank, but it is just as usual in my game with Ripp as the starter.
Ripp´s 8 nice points force him to cry out load.
Meanwhile, Buck wants a skill point and asks his dad for a lesson. The general is of course very happy with that.
The training quickly gives results, and makes Buck thin as a stick.
Buck: Wow! Look at my! Now no one will pick on me for being a fatso anymore!
Ripp heads off to the City, where the pregnant Cirke Beaker is totally repulsed by Ripp.
...while Chloe thinks the opposite!
Ripp also quickly realises he finds Chloe both hot and cool, so decides to see what he can achieve with his charm.
Chloe: So my sis got into private school, while the headmaster didn´t want me. But you know what? That private school is just a snobbish institution for silly little kids who don´t realise the uniforms is the only real difference. So I´m kinda glad I didn´t get in!
Ripp: But I have heard private school kids randomly gets skill points and stuff...
Chloe: Well, they can gain a skill point, but only if they already were decent in that skill area. Which my sister wasn´t, obviously!
Ripp: Anyway, congratulations for being so hot. Maybe we should go for a coffee some day?
Chloe: I´m flattered. But let´s wait till you start College, then I´m definitely open for suggestions!
Ripp: Everyone keep saying I´m too young and shit, but I´m already pretty fucking sexy!
Ripp: Okay, if you wanna treat me like a child, let´s play a child game. It´s also quite fun afterall.
Chloe: Yeah, sure.
Aldric and a dormie play another childish game ;)
Tank wants to find a job in the military, and luckily there is one available.
Ripp: HAHAHA! You are sooo Daddy´s little little boy!
After teasing his older brother, Ripp also takes some revenge on Tank. He doesn´t manage to make Tank cry though, which he was hoping.
Tank still thinks he´s better than Ripp, and he definitely thinks his makeover turned out way better.
Ripp: I got a job before Tank, I´m waaay more good-looking, I´ve got several friends and I´m an awesome chef...
Me: You are most definitely a good talker, but do you really think that dish looks tasty? It looks burned to me.
Ripp: Oh, shit!
Ripp: So it was a kinda burned, but except for that I actually made an awesome dish.
Later that day both Johnny and Ophelia pays the Grunts a visit.
Tank: So what exactly are you doing here, you little shit?
Johnny: I´m here to visit my friend, though obviously you have no clue about what friends are.
Tank: Tell you what: This is MY house with MY rules. You are too stupid to even realise such a simple fact, huh? So just leave my property already, or I´ll have to force you. Most likely it will be through an ambulance!
Meanwhile Ripp and Ophelia continue with their friendship.
Ripp: Did you know that Chloe Curious got rejected from Private School, while her sister got accepted? Hey, that´s one of the reasons I like Chloe, she´s just like me!
Tank: That´s it, I´m going to kick your green little ass!
Ripp: Come on Johnny, you can do this!
Or myabe not...
Tank: See!? I would never have said I would kick your ass if there was any doubt in my mind I could easily do exactly that. Anyway, maybe it´s time to leave now, LOSER?
So Johnny leaves, along with his girlfriend Ophelia. Hopefully she´ll be able give him some kind of console.
In Ripp´s mind, putting plates away from the table is one of the most horrible things life has to offer.
Tank is of course in a very good mood for the rest of that day and spend some relaxing hours studying the aquarium fishes, and just feeling pride for being a Grunt.
Johnny pays a new visit. This time to kick over the trashcan.
Little Buck got a little mini makeover, which he apparently likes a lot.
Buck: What? Being taught to study? That sound ridicolous. It would take away the whole wonderful challange a homework is!
Fortunately the General doesn´t know who kicked that trashcan...
Ripp: Hi dad, could you buy such a cool cellphone for me as well?
Buzz doesn´t really notice Ripp´s request. He has finally decided to invite Erin Beaker over.
So Erin arrives...
...and the two of them quickly decide they want to be more than just friends.
While both Ripp and Buck have managed to make some friends, Tank is quite alone. The only new faces he meets are online.
Buck is a serious little guy, who loves to watch the stars...
...until one of the damn trees caught on fire. All sims love to watch fires more than anything else after all! :D
Buzz and Ripp really are unable to have any successfull conversations at the moment.
The next morning Buzz decides to invite Erin on a date in City. She accepts the offer.
Aww, look at Tank! He is actually such a great big brother! <3
And then he wants to read for Buck as well. I know some simmers see Tank as the bad guy, but I don´t get that at all.
Buzz starts the whole date by telling Erin some secrets about Tank...
...the date then continues in a more romantic way.
The lot they chosed to date on has this bowling alley, and Chloe appears to be quite good at bowling...
Though no one beats Mrs. Crumplebottom XD
On the outside, the date continues in a successfull way...
Well, their love is cute and the date ended up as a success, but overall I tend to make my dates quite boring. Simply put, the two dating sims tend to stand at the edge of the lot interacting with eachother, and ignore everything and everyone else at the lot. This date wasn´t an exception, unfortunately. :D
I don´t know if Erin is laughting at the witch or at something else. Good thing it´s a good witch instead of an evil, at least! ;)
Before Tank managed to start reading for Buck, the school bus arrives...
...and so does Buzz´s helicopter.
The flower bearing Erin is clearly disturbed by the loud helicopter.
General Buzz is not too found of it either. Wonder why he doesn´t find another transport to his work...
Tank arrives home with another A.
Tank: I am so AWESOME!
It´s always so amusing when sims start writing in their diaries and though bubbles of entirely unknown sims appear!
The previous hair didn´t suit Ripp IMO, so he got a new haircut as well as a somewhat thicker stubble.
LOL
Buck: I only got a stupid B again! Why?
Buck is terrified over the idea of seeing his fishes die. He´s such a little sweetie! :)
Buzz arrives home again.
Erin walks by, apparently not to meet Buzz but to read his newspaper...
Buck is so soft and gentle when he interacts with his beloved fishes! <3
Ripp prefers to spend his nights watching TV...
...while Tank wants to get in even better shape before he leaves for College.
After Tank got to stinky to work out anymore (Sim logic = "Hey, I´m to stinky to work out anymore, I´ll have to take a shower before I can continue" :D)
Buzz asks Erin to move in with him. She accepts and moves in with 99 § (Wow! XD). Erin looks relieved to finally get away from Chloe.
Ripp is an expert when it comes to looking lazy :D
Buck: It hails! How fascinating!
While Buck wants the homework to be a challange, he also wants to get that A+ grade. So he decides to ask Ripp for some help... wonder if that will result in an A or a F though? :D
After Erin has made herself at home, Tank serves some kind of family dinner... but what the heck, Erin!?
Chloe is still furious at Erin since the fight they had, and now, when Erin has moved in with the Grunts, I´m afraid I´ll have to get used to see her here every now and then for a while...
The boys try to be polite towards the new family member.
Though Buck is not sure about what to think of Erin. Will she try to become a new mother for the boys? Can she be trusted? Will she treat everyone well? Or does she have some dishonest motives?
He is 100 % sure he finds his brother´s lack of food manners utterly disgusting anyway! XD
Erin continues to drool over young Tank...
Tank manages to get two schoolarships - the top student one and the athletic one.
When everyone else has gone to bed, Buzz and Erin wants to celebrate the fact that she has joint the family!

Worthington, second semester:
Seeing as Frances lives alone, most of the time he´s either studuing...
...painting with his new easel...
...or working out...
...and lots of other not-too-interesting-things. That means much fast forwarding from my side.
This is how I often treat the Cheerleaders and the Llama Mascots. Doing it with Cow Mascots is not a good idea though; while the Cheerleaders immediately leave the lot due to low motives, the Cow Mascots are to stupid to realise they are dying and stay to... well, die! I have accidently killed a whole lot of Cow Mascots that way.
Like I use to say: Don´t blame me if you get struck by lightning!
Frances is not impressed by the Cheerleader. Needles to say, neither am I! :D
Cheerleader: Did you hear we´ll get snow in a couple of days? I´m so excited! I would like to have a snowball fight with you!
Frances: Really!? Well, that could be fun!
Frances: Oh god, did I smell like this at the class? What if someone noticed it... Oh, no I´m so embarrassed!
With a sim living alone, community lots is one of the ways to make the gameplay more interesting. This is especially true for college sims, since their semester clock continues at all community lots around campus.
In his bio, it´s stated that Frances would like to join a secret society, so what´s more suiting than a game of chess with one of the members?
I hope the fact that the guy finds Frances so hot can make it easier to gain a membership...
Dormie: Hi sweetie! Your relaxed clothing style combined with your boyish hairstyle make you look sooo cute!
Mickey: I´m an engaged guy, and I´m all for faithfullness. So no, I´m not interested.
Dormie: Hey, come on...
Mickey: No! Oh, here´s my sweet spouse by the way!
Dormie: A guy? Guess I don´t have much of a chance then. Too bad. All guys I like seem to be gay...
Frances: I´ll soon have my final exam, and what could possible be a better preperation than to spend the time with you!
Mickey: You are too sweet... And I promiss you your exam will go just fine - I feel it!
Dormie: Hello my friend. Now you look like a classy young man to me.
Second dormie: Leave me alone, you are just creepy!
Dormie: What´s wrong with me!? I´ve tried complementing most guys at campus, but everyone keeps saying no! I should probably try with girls instead...
Frances finish his second semester on top again.
I got slightly annoyed with the fact that his house had no bathroom downstairs, so I transformed the TV corner into a brandnew bathroom...
...and replaced the staircase with a spiral staircase to save some space. I would have done more changed, but the money from Frances Dean´s List wasn´t enough.
And here we have Frances relationships panel.
But the peek at his relationships is not the end of this update. Frances calls his fiance over...
Frances: So, you want to move in with me?
Mickey: Hell yeah! Even if he pretends everything is as usual, Guy has been quite weired since we started dating. Like really creepy weird. I´m sure I´ll be much happier living with you!

I have now sent Tank Grunt, Ophelia Nigmos and Johnny Smith to College (yeah, Tank and Johnny will be sharing the same dorm!). Since I play in two days rotations, the teens will be sent when they have either one or two days left, depending on when the rotations end (I only send them at the beginning of a rotation). I´ll change this rule at some point, though. In my custom ´hood the rule was to send them when they had 6 days left. That made the length of the teen stage more to my taste. The reason I didn´t start with this rule from the beginning is obvious: I wanted to play Tank, Johnny and Ophelia as teens for some days, and all three of them started with way less then 6 days left anyway. Buck will most likely start College when he´s got 6 days left, so he´ll likely be the one introducing the new rule.
Tank is actually my favorite Grunt (even if I REALLY like them all). I know many simmers see him as the "bad guy", but in my game he proves the opposite. Sure, both Ripp and Buck have more nice points than Tank, but Tank uses his 5 points very well so to speak. His problem is more that he doesn´t have the same charisma as Ripp, and because of that has a hard time making friends. But he really wants to be liked. How he autonomously tucks Buck in and attempts to read for him are just a few examples of his good sides. I was happy for him that he won the fight against Johnny. I like Johnny too, but I think it ment even more for Tank to win.
Next up will be featuring the Ramaswami family, the Grunt family yet again, as well as the first two semester of Tank, Ophelia and Johnny´s adventures at College.
