Strangetown Round 1, Loner/Roseland & the Singles
Warnings: Crappy English (though you´ll have to get used to it I´m afraid), Woohoo, typos, not-so-entertaining-writing.
Loner/Roseland family
This is the house I moved Cyd Roseland, Porthos and Ajay Loner into.
It was quite green to say the least... XD
Much the same, but way less green. The kitchen is in a separate room in case there will be a fire sometime so not everyone will run and watch it.
Immediately after moving in, both Cyd and Ajay wanted to interact with Porthos. Ajay was faster though. Little Porthos will probably never suffer from lonliness.
The guys were sent to the shopping center to buy some new clothes and, hopefully, meet some new sims. Cyd couldn´t care less about the social and went straight to the games. That´s probably what I would have done too! XD
A pregnant Priya Ramaswami, Olive Specter, Kristen Loste and a dormie girl were more into socializing, but shit Olive looks creepy...
...really creepy considering she has 19 graves in her yard. Does she maybe want more...?
Blossom Moonbeam was there as well, and I finally managed to tear him from the games and take the opportunity to meet someone.
Priya: You look so elegant and clever, Mrs Specter!
Olive: Tell me something else I didn´t already know!
Ajay meets Kristen...
...and Olive. Be careful, Ajay!
Kristen: You just look sooo good!
Ajay: Why, thank you! You don´t look too bad either!
Kristen: OMG! OMG! He thinks I´m hot!
Olive: Excuse me young man, but you have something wired on your shirt.
Ajay: What!? Please tell me it´s not an insect, I hate insects!
DONG!
Olive: Haha! Look at him, so naive and stupid!
Ajay: What is your problem!? Don´t you dare ever do something like that to me again!
Olive: Dare? Hahaha! You can´t scare me, boy. However, you should maybe be a little bit more careful. But I guess you are too stupid to realise that before it´s too late...
Ajay flees the field, and find someone much more nice and less creepy at the outside.
Yeah, much more nice, entertaining and easygoing...
...and hot!
Meanwhile Kristen tries to impress on Ajay by making some hot dogs. Too bad the hot dogs didn´t turn out that optimal...
Cyd and Priya feel for Kristen and pretend they are the best freaking hot dogs ever.
Vidcund prefers to sit alone. Maybe he hopes that Sarah Love will come and make him company?
Ajay: Please wait, Lola! I have too...

Kristen: Oh no! These didn´t turn out good at all... And other are eaing them! OMG how embarrassing! I don´t remember what I did wrong... What if I accidently poisoned them and everyone will die because of me!?
I have never seen a llama mascot at a community lot before. But I think he was just passing by.
Olive can´t have enough of provocation...
Ajay: So uhm... how should your dream guy be?
Lola: He should be good at cleaning, so I never have to do that. Preferably he should clean with passion too!
Ajay has a pretty boring face, but at least some facial hair made him look more like a man.
Cyd is quite handsome. :D
Cyd & Ajay also visited the pet store to buy a collar for Porthos. But it was a collar they needed and not another dog! (I always feel sorry for the sim pets who are stored in cages like that)
Before they left Crystal Vu appeared. She had a really good chemistry with Ajay, so just to be sure not to miss any opportunities I made Ajay greet her.
Cyd & Ajay´s LTW. Originally Cyd wanted to be a criminal mastermind, but that didn´t exactly suit my image of him, so now he wants to max 7 skills. Ajay kept his original LTW of becoming Cheif of Staff.
Ajay was really lucky and immediately found a job in the medicine career.
Ajay & Porthos get along just fine:-)
Sanjay & Sarah walked by. For some reason I just love it when a sim and their pet are walking by the lot. It´s so cute.
Cyd wants a skill point, so he and Porthos watch the cooking channel.
Porthos is suppoused to be a smart dog, so it made sense to get him a job. The entertaintment career was what I chosed for him.
The welcome wagon appears. Unfortunately no potential love interests though...
Jenny Smith and Porthos quickly find each other.
The guests and the hosts eat a sandwich together (Jenny Smith was eating alone in the kitchen).
And I thought Porthos was an exemplary dog... Not a big deal though!

Porthos is smart and he is decently trained (at least compared to the Critturs XD), but some more training is still needed.
Ajay: My sweat little boy, please don´t chew on the sofa! There is a nice chewing toy there for ya, and I´ll buy you more if you want!
Cyd: What the hell are you doing, Ajay!? Don´t you yell at my little prince again!
Ajay wants to be nice towards his roomies, he really does. But with Cyd being defensive and asocial, a hot strong of espresso in silence is welcome!
Lola called Ajay later that evening inviting him to city. Cyd needed out of the house, so he followed them.
I was a little disappointed that only Lola was there (I was hoping she would bring some other sims as well)...
...but Ajay & Lola´s feeling for eachother just grows...
...and grows:-)
Cyd is still most of all interested in skills and new experiences.
Ajay and Lola waiste no time at all. :D
Most other visiting sims are dancing. Kristen is just standing there though, looking lost;-)
Well that´s a charming face, Cyd! If you continue to be like that you´ll have a partner in no time! :D
But stop being so squeamish, Cyd. You´ll have to get used to late nights if you are going to succee in your slacker career! (Yeah, he got a job in that career since his LTW is not career related and I found it suitable too)

Both the guys have a double bed, and since only one side currently is used at the same time I decided to enjoy the cuteness. (Funny that Porthos choised Ajay´s bed and not Cyd´s BTW)

Ajay rolls fears of Porthos chewing on stuff all the time, and the little dog does it frequently when he´s got nothing better to do...
An ambulance! That looks dramatic! But no worries, it´s only Ajay´s carpool! When I was new to the game, I always thought that you would be able to call an ambulance and that that would be the way to fulfill a sim´s want of being saved from death (it was before I realized you could click on a want or a fear to get a description of it too)! XD
Not that Ajay is too focused on his first day at work though. But Ajay, please leave her alone, or otherwise your town might end up in a BFBVFS, I´m not kidding there!

Cyd gets a promotion, which means he´ll have to go to work again this day.
Ajay comes home with a promotion as well. Porthos got fined due to a chance card, so all extra money is welcome! :)
Cyd takes a trip around Strangetown to meet new sims. The fake Bella & Blossom Moonbeam seams get along great...
...and Jenny & Olive as well. Seriously, Jenny is extremely easy to talk to!
The no longer pregnant Samantha Ottomas & Cyd meat each other. The chemistry between them was great, so they sat down an talked for a while until Samantha needed to get home to her big family.
Townie woman: I have never kissed anyone before and your mouth is so cute... Can I kiss you?
Cyd: What!? No, I´m not that interested in romance right now. Besides, I want my first kiss to be with someone I can see myself with. Sorry.
Oh, not you again!
Next work pass for Ajay (only some hours after he got home)!
Porthos doesn´t really like being bathed (and I can understand him seeing as small dogs kinda look drowned in these bath tubs).
This is much more something Porthos enjoys to do!
Later that night Ajay arrives with yet another promotion...

Where to move 4 adult females with only 22 000 § ? This is the house I chosed for them...
Not to spacious, and boring colors...
...kinda big basement, but no good dimensions.
Still not spacious, but at least more cozy. I also removed the stairs up to the porch outside, since it has always annoyed me that all the sims tend to chose that way instead of the frontdoor.
This is Chloe´s bedroom... Since it is a basement I could not add walls, which was a shame because that could make the house feel more spacious...
Immediatey after moving in Erin decides to tickle Kristen...
...however not all the girls in the household are that kind and the thing that always happens to me when the Singles have move in is a fact. Chloe might be an interesting sim, but she doesn´t exactly strike me as a nice indivdual.
The facial expressions are at least entertaining. XD
But then I feel bad for poor kind Kristen :-(

...I had enough though and sent them all to the hopping store, where Kristen met someone nicer.

That Loki Beaker likes redheads is obvious and okay, but drooling over someone half his age who currently is in desperate need of help!? XD

Yeah, this is how I choised to makeover Chloe. That hair mesh is quite new, but it´s simply made for her! :-)
And here is Erin. She is pretty and not that interesting looking. Normally I try to give these sims some feature to break the prettiness, but I figured Erin wants to look dolly pretty.
Lazlo gives Kristen some advices on how to make money (those two gets along great!).
Kristen: Oh wait, someone has bought something new! I´m so excited to see what it might be! Ugh! What is that!? An ugly box with a batman logo!? And here I was getting ecited...
Me: That "ugly box" is actually something extremly powerful with which I can totally change you goals in life, your names, the weather, your memories... simply everything is in that magical box. If you treat it with respect it can improve your life, if you treat it
with contempt it can ruin your life - not kidding!
Erin: Hi, Kristen! Hi, Powerful Box!
Quick look at everyone´s LTW. Erin originally wanted 20 best pet friends, which is a LTW I just find silly so now (thanks to the "powerful box" :D) she wants 20 simultaneous best friends. Chloe kept her original (20 simultaneous lovers), so did Kristen (to become The Law) & Lola (earn 100 000 §).
Erin: This is a warning; stop being nasty towards Kristen & I now!

Chloe: You think that scares me, huh!?
If YOU don´t behaive I´ll tell my father and he´ll take you away for good!
Then the unevitable happens (started by Chloe of course;)....
Lola had invited Ajay over and both are too focussed on each other to even notice the fight.
Erin somehow managed to kick Chloe´s ass, which I found a bit supprising. All other times I have played the Singles, Chloe has not lost one single fight if I remember correctly. I was actually hoping Erin would win too.
Erin: See? Don´t mess with a Beaker again!
Chloe is furious and absolutely clueless as to why she lost the fight...
...and then she just cries - in front of both Erin and Kristen.
Kristen looks for a job, while Erin is being ill-mannered.
Welcome wagon appears - consisting of Nervous Subject only (though that´s not so "only").
Kristen gets to greet him, and this is how she is responded...
Nervous laughts, Kristen cries...
Nervous is not done having fun...
...and Kristen just can´t take it the right way. Despite the fact that Nervous has no nice points at all, I don´t see him as a mean sim. He´s just not yet socially competent (and you can´t blame him for that!).
LOL Nervous! :D
Kristen: Why do you allow this to happend? Do I deserve this? Please, put an interaction in my queue so I can get away from this!
Me: You have a free will, Kristen. Use it!
Most sims would probably at this point use their free will in a negative way. But Kristen? No, she still tries to interact with Nervous in a positive way. She simply is a sweet sim!
Talking to Nervous is not the easiest thing though. He has his unusual interests, and is totally uninterested in most stuff other sims like.
Parenthood and family raising interests him though, and I know he wants a child or two or three, wich I´ll make sure he WILL have eventually.
After a whole hard day even Kristen has enough. I can´t blame her.
Later that evening Kristen tries to invite Nervous over, so he can meet other new sims. But this night he´s not interested.
Routing issues! A one tile way is not enough when to sims meet each ohter. Stupid sims and stupid me who didn´t think about that...
Chloe got a job in Oceanography and comes home with a promotion. Not the most suiting job for her really IMO, but the newspaper didn´t have much else to offer.
This day there was a job in Music though. Much better for Chloe, so she took it.
To get some advice about music, she invites Gunnar Roque over (they met at a community lot while I was playing another household).
Kristen works in the education career, until a career in law gets available, and arrives home with a promotion.
Then I decided to use the aspiration points benefits for the four girls, starting with Erin...
...then Chloe,
Kristen...
and Lola.
Chloe and Gunnar deside to take the music discussion another time...
Erin is in the gamer career and she too comes home with a promotion.
She is also first to use the new computer and meets General Buzz online. It doesn´t seam like they have anything important to discuss though. XD
No music at all this time, but some inspiration and joy...
Though despite both being romance sim, Chloe and Gunnar have not been near as eiger to romance each other as Lola and Ajay.
This day Nervous accepts the invitation...
...which Cyd and Ajay do as well. ACR decides it´s make out time for Cyd and Kristen, but I don´t want them together (like them both, but not together)!
Nervous appears and Lola & Ajay fall in love. <3 The thing I like here is that they did it completely by themselfes. All romantic interaction were autonomous, the only thing I did was to make sure they saw each other quite a lot.
Kristen: Nervous, I somehow feel you´ll get along with Mr Roseland. Why don´t you go talk with him?
Nervous: Yes sure, why not...
And Nervous and Cyd really got along great! They talked to each other for about half a sim hour. While Kristen had a hard time having a good conversation with Nervous, for Cyd it came natural. Don´t know why Nervous got those plus things above his head (like two college sims who talk about their major gets), but it was probably related to Nervous being influenced to talk to Cyd.
Later that night Erin has realised she likes athletic man with muscles, and dislikes facial hair.

Notes:
I don´t know exactly why I took less pictures from the Singles household than from the Loner/Roseland. Maybe it was because the Singles were kind of chaotic to play - four ladies who don´t get along, who need to find a partner, need to make a career, living together in such a small house - and I was too focussed at playing to remember to take pictures...
So Lola has found love in Ajay. Chloe has something with Gunnar Roque, but I´m not sure how serious it will get. Erin and Kristen don´t really have any love interests yet though. I have something in my mind for them, but I want to try and let them chose for themselfes...
Unfortunately most of the premade names in my game gets translated (often badly) to swedish. But for some reason, the Singles are exceptions there and still have english names. Not that I complain, but I wish there was a way to have the game installed in my own language, but stop the game from translating names...
I moved Ajay and Cyd in together since I find single households boring, and also to keep the number of househols as low as possible. If Ajay & Lola decide to get really serious, I´m not sure if she will move in with Ajay & Cyd or if the two of them will move to into a new house. I´m leaning towards option 1.
