This week's
Spotlight is all about the LGBTQI SF links, and I have still more links to share here.
*Jennifer Pelland's "Ghosts of New York" is available to read free online
here. I've loved this story since I heard her read it aloud at a con in 2009, and I own the anthology it's in, but now YOU can love it even without going to a con or buying anything. It's a ghost story about the 2001 twin towers attack, and it's incredibly horrifying, disturbing, and dare I say hopeful? Maybe I should do a why I love post about it. We'll see.
*It's Hanukkah! I'm not Jewish, but I know many of you are, and I hope your nights are full of warmth and light.
sartorias posted
some links to choral pieces in her journal, and it reminded me of my favorite piece from my days as an elementary school chorus kid. I've searched for this song several times to no avail, but this time, I actually found a video of a children's chorus singing it. So:
"A Feast of Lights" for your listening pleasure. Note: the camera is very shaky, so be forewarned if you have motion sickness from that sort of thing.

My Princess Boy is a book about a boy who likes to dress as a princess. It's a true book about a real boy and his parents and teachers and everyone else, and it's about how dressing up in sparkly things is totally cool and not just for girls. As someone who very much likes sparkly things, and feels they should be for everyone, I approve!
