Imagine all the people, could love equally....
It hurts my heart, my very being, to know that I live in a country that will put civil rights to a majority vote. To know that even in New England equality is reprimanded. My country is telling me that I do not count.
And if this doesn't offend you and hurt you than I don't know what could. According to my country I am not the same as the rest of you. I don't deserve what the rest of you get. I don't deserve the same rights that the rest of you have. It only took ten years for hate crimes legislation to be expanded to include sexual orientation.
So if this doesn't bother you and offend you and hurt you on the same level that it does for me than I don't know you and I don't understand you. And, if you don't get this, than I wish that those rights would be taken away from you the same way they have been denied to me and to so many beautiful, beautiful people that I know.
Fuck this country.
