Don't Have Time to Exercise? Think Again!
It's September and thoughts of endless summer days are fading away. The tempo is picking up again and suddenly, you've got a million and one things to do-so who has time for exercise?? You do! The recommended 30 minutes a day of exercise can fit into anyone's day, no matter how busy and hectic things can get. Just tweak your schedule a bit and you'll have room for exercise. Try some of these suggestions.
Shake up your routine - Take what you do regularly every morning and make it better with little bursts of energy. When you wake up and get out of bed do 20 squats to start your day off right. While you're in the shower, do calf raises or curls with the shampoo bottle. Get creative when you're making breakfast. While the eggs are set to cook for 3 minutes, see how many sit ups or push-ups you can do in that time and try to beat your personal best every morning. Then, leave the car in the garage and walk or bike to work.
Call a meeting at the gym - Instead of working through lunch, use the time for a workout at the gym. Need to meet with a client? Invite her to a 30-minute walk, a game of tennis or a turn on the treadmill at the gym instead of meeting over lunch. An active person will be delighted and a more sedentary person will probably appreciate the opportunity to do something a little unusual.
Liven up your neighborhood - You've enjoyed the block parties and shared babysitting duties. Now, recruit your neighbors for some fun physical activity. Form a neighborhood walking or yoga group. Besides fitting in your physical activity for the day, you'll get time with neighbors you enjoy and with others you'd like to know better. And all this camaraderie could mean more Friday night dates with your spouse while your neighbor watches the kids.Type your cut contents here.
