dinner

I promise I'll stop posting as much but I don't cook very often, and I think we did a pretty good job with tonight's dinner.

so first I made the cake, and then iced it, and it's mad awesome and vanilla-y and moist and delicious.

then we found this autumn tea, which essentially is really rich and sweet and fruity. that settled our stomaches after lots of cake batter and icing.

then we started with couscous. shawn cooked it up with some cinnamon. we added some chopped up garlic boca burger which made it taste really gross (boca's garlic flavouring is a little funky), and we thought it was a lost cause. but then we sauteed some onions with olive oil and rosemary and threw in some snow peas and added that in. then I sauteed up some tomatoes with white wine and threw those in there. and then lots of salt. much better.

and then we get to the part that I'm not going to be eating because I'm going pescetarian, but lola has this awesome apricot chicken recipe. so some canned apricots, some wine, some pan fried chicken cutlets and a bunch more sauteed vegetables later and that smells fucking good.

yum! I'm excited.
