SPOILERS for Death Note #6 to follow.
There's some good stuff in this volume, though I imagine some of the readers might get tired of all the characters trying to outthink each other for pages on end.
But the thing I found interesting was on the last page. It reveals that while there are male and female Shinigami, they can't have sex with humans...or each other. Which brings up two obvious questions: How do shinigami reproduce, if at all? And why do they have genders, if they don't have sexual reproduction?
The most probable answer to the first one is that their ruler makes more Shinigami as and when needed. How he does this is anyone's guess.
