I haven't participated in these kinds of memes before, the kind designed with self-replication built in. There's probably a name for them, like...I dunno, maybe "algorithmic memes." The simplest would probably be something like the "if you're one of the 20% of teens who doesn't" siglines. Then there's the "pick fifteen of your favorite characters...if 9 and 14 had a baby..." things you see on deviantART.
