Finished my regular work Friday, for a change, so decided not to work overtime today for the first time in a couple of months. This largely has to do with the news that if one comes in on the weekend, one has to do the despised side project rather than one's own backlogged non-urgent projects.
So I got to see some of this season's Saturday morning cartoons. Sadly, most of the episodes I caught were repeats of stuff I saw last season. I did enjoy Word Girl, and the Harry Potter mania parody.
Afterwards, I went out and got me a haircut and beard trim. There's a new barber in the same spot my old one was, so I gave him a try. Seems to have done a pretty good job.
Then I saw Quantum of Solace at the Lagoon. Honestly, it's not exactly an art film, but I guess they need a big ticket draw to cover the smaller films that are the normal fare. It was okay, though it seems to have been more sequel/prequel than a movie on its own.
Hmm, in other news, Target won't be having a Holiday Dinner for us Target Financial Services folks. Instead, there will be some sort of big "volunteer" event in January.
