The owner of Phoenix Games has changed his mind. In addition to their online store, PG will also have a small storefront in Deephaven. I wasn't aware Minnesota even had a Deephaven, but there you are.

Lake Street is torn up something awful, so catching a bus means going over to the next street where there are no bus shelters. Today it rained.

Got to the Lake Street rail station eventually though.

Because of the rain, the Megamall was even more crowded than usual for a Saturday. Still did some shopping and such.

Coming back through the mall's transit station, I was surprised and annoyed to find long bus ticket lines blocking my way. And at the train, it was packed solid. There was another train's worth waiting on the platform, too. It turned out that with Highway 35 (you all heard about that one) and Highway 94 (hadn't heard about that, though) closed, and a home baseball game, a multitude of people had decided that today would be a good day to take the light rail to the stadium.

No fun at all. Finally got to sit down for the last eight blocks after the Metrodome, though.

transit, geography, shopping
