Still alive
In case anyone was worried, no, the zombies didn't get me. For those who missed out, it was all part of Blog Like It's The End Of The World day. It was fun to play along.
In real life news, we are working again. Yay! Yesterday we officially started on the Phase II work for this project, after a long transitional period of not doing much (but still getting paid). What this means is that I am back to long hours under the hot sun, and coming home tired, sweaty and covered in dirt. But it also means that more people are being brought on our crews, including some really good people I've worked with before, either in Louisiana or when I started in Ohio last autumn. Awesome people now officially outnumber the frat boys, and I couldn't be happier.
I'm flying over to England on July 6/7, which gives me just under three weeks to finish my Secret Crafty Project, pack up all my stuff, and make sure all my plans are in order. I get to see my boy! And go to a big, geeky Harry Potter con! And plan a wedding! *meep*
I think I am going to veg this evening. I've earned it.
