Queen of the Damned ***
Maybe four stars if I actually liked vampire movies. It wasn't bad, really. Things I learned: 1) Vampires make a funny helicopter noise when they fly. 2) Vampires are not bad, except some of them. 3) Vampires like wearing silver makeup in the corners of their eyes. 4) At least one vampire looks like a creepy little Leonardo DiCaprio, but is apparently not. 5) Drinking blood is messy but sexy. 6) Anne Rice is enamoured of classic gothic images and mixing them with modern erotic images, but is not a great author. I can't tell you whether this was better than Interview With the Vampire, since it all depends very much on whether you like that sort of thing.
