This trip has been pretty relaxed as far as my business trips go. I was brought out here so the team could get together for some planning meetings and those have been going pretty well. Theres no big rush so I've been able to show up at work a little before 9 and leave around 5.
On Wednesday we even got to take an extended lunch break. We went to a bar called Bungalows Billiards. It's got some fun atmosphere. They serve their drinks in glass jars. The place also has good battered fries (well the menu says they're battered, the fries claim they just waked into a door knob). The idea was to meet up with a co-worker there so he could join us for our afternoon meetings. He showed up late, so he was ordering as the rest of us were finishing lunch. The pool tables there are free at lunch so we decided to get in a round of 8 ball. I was fun because we all were at the same skill level, meaning we all sucked at the game. My team ended up just barely winning.
Wednesday night I drove north to Frederick visit my friend nymphy who I hadn't seen since Anthrocon 2004. The drive up was actually quite scenic so I hardly noticed that it took about an hour. It was nice to see her and the visit gave me an excuse to draw porn, which I don't do nearly enough on these trips.
Things are kinda slow today and everyone else on the team from out of town is leaving tonight so we'll probably be breaking up a little early. Tomorrow I plan to visit some monuments and museums.
