Hang on, you mean in California you actually get money for your recycleables? None of that here in Michigan. Closest we've got is the bottle deposit law (ten cents per can or bottle of carbonated or alcoholic beverage), but that ADDS the ten cents to each purchase, technically...

yeah that's even worse, i'm sorry. :( a 6 pack on average is a $1+ tax (tax is 10 to 15 cents i think) how is it there?

oh yeah and i should add a $1+ tax for the "off brand" type stuff your looking at $2+ tax for the big brand stuff. so i find myself getting saaay "shasta lemon lime" way more often than "sprite". heh.

Honestly, I haven't bought an explicit six pack of beverage foo in quite some time. Though I believe a standard 12-pack of pop is around $3-$4, plus deposit and tax. Beer, most likely more.
