(no subject)
I keep saying I'm going to do better about updating this, but I never do! :/ I don't feel like I do anything, so I have nothing to talk about.
OMG, I can't believe it Mel will be 1 on Friday!!!!! We had 2 of her parties this weekend. Yes I did say two!!! She has one more coming! Since I live 2 hours away from good ole D-ville, I didn't want my family to drive out here, or have Josh's family drive out there. SO, I decided that we would do two seperate parties for that. So I was going to do a party with both of Josh's sides. But, I found out the day I was going to do it was his grandma's birthday and they were already going out to Salmanca to the casino for dinner. Then I was like, ok I'll have it on Sunday instead. I told Josh's mom that's what I was planning on doing, and she was like "Oh I was going to have it here, and I don't think they will come if I'm there anyways.(I guess something happened a while back where Josh's mom sold some land, because she was trying to pay of some of her EX-HUSBANDS bills!! Well his dads side is mad because it wasn't hers to be sold. When Josh's grandpa died he left the house and the land to him, because he was the only one on that side of the family that is Seneca, the rest are Cayuga! Well because he was a minor, it was to go into his moms name until he was old enough, but is still in her name and she is still paying it off!!! To make a long story short, his grandma is still pissed at her, NOT Josh's dad who abandoned them!!) So then I decided it would be just easier to have all seperate parties! Which was good because Josh's grandma said yesterday she wouldn't have come to the one his mom was at! Which means the whole family wouldn't have come either!!!
The party with his mom's side ended up being run by his mom. I just wanted to have a nice little party at home. BUT NO!! She decides that she is going to have it at a resturant! So after I already send out the invites saying OUR ADDRESS, I have to call those people and tell them it's not at our house. I felt bad about having it at the resturant because I wanted her to have her own little cake to get into, and not have to make a mess at a resturant, I think that is rude and disgusting! But she ended up making all the arraingments. It went alright. We just got her a few little things, a book, a little that she will never watch, and one of those little stacker toys.
She was so cute about getting into her cake though. She just kept looking at all of us, like is this ok. She never really dug right into it, she patted it! SO CUTE!!!! She had one little bite of it, she had alot of frosting spread all over her face, but nothing got into her mouth.
The other party was more of the normal family sunday dinner we have. I made chicken wing dip, it turned out really good. I have never made it before, but everyone loved it. I tried making a little Dora cake that Teresa (Josh's mom) had picked up. When I went to take it out of the pan it didn't all come out. So I ended up just buying one, because I didn't have time to make one and wait for it to cool so I could decorate it. She got a few outfits, a Dora doll, some little magnet thing that I can put pictures in (she is always playing with their magnets up there!) and this cool little bubble machine. I should take pictures of all the bubbles that come out of this thing. It has to push out well over 100 a minute! Mel loved it.
