Please note, all of these are personal interpretations of songs. I could be totally wrong about them, but this is what I take away from them.

1. I've never used an instrumental song in a FST. Never. But whenever I hear this song, I'm constantly reminded of Ray (note; RAY, not NOIR). While they are the same person, I find Ray to be more vulnerable. I've always though of Noir as a mask he wears to cover up his insecurities and fears. This song feels lonely and sad but at the same time, very optimistic for the future. It crescendo's and becomes louder, just as Ray tries to merge his two personalities into one person.

2. A very depressing song. It's more fitting for Florian in the first two books than anything else. It's a song of loneliness and loss and how our dreams can rescue us from nightmares. It's also a song about how love can save someone. Which is exactly what Ray does for Florian.

3. This one is pretty self explanatory. Leila is a jealous brat. The end.

4. Again, pretty self explanatory. Although the song has a line "Who do you want me to be, to make you sleep with me" and I've always thought Sugar's obsession with Ray went beyond trying to save his career and earn fame by catching the Phantom Thief Noir. Of course, I also believe that he wants to get it on with Florian too. Maybe I'm just a pervert. XD

5. A very fun and angry song. Azura is obviously an angry little man and I'm sure he has his reasons. The whole time I was reading the Morocco story line, I felt like his wounds went a lot deeper than You Higuri went into; there's obviously a reason he turned out the way he did. This song talks about how a person feels wretched and wants to die and how all of society treats them horribly and misunderstands them. The Azura that I see when I read GC is just like that.

6. A song designed to represent Florian's mother's feelings for him. Some of the lyrics make it sound like he might be dying, but obviously it's the reverse. But when the song says "You have come to journey's end" I took it in this context as "You don't have to be the perfect aristocrat anymore. Be yourself." It's such a sad and beautiful song and I feel like it could describe their relationship as close to perfect as a song can.i

7. I love this song. It's a song about obsession and posession and not being able to a damn thing without someone telling you too. Florian is the puppet and Azura is the puppetmaster.

8. I think techinically this song is about war and trying to find someway to keep wars from happening again but most of the lyrics work well enough to show that Florian and Ray and everyone else need hope to get away from Azura and his dastardly plot.

9. Opium. Another self-explanatory one.

10. A song about drugs I think, but the lyrics work well enough to describe the end of a friendship. I think the lines "You are one of God's mistakes" and "No, I don't like you anymore, you lying, trying waste of space" fit Azura particularly well.

11. A song about lover's committing suicide. Obviously, Ray would rather die with Florian and stay alive without him. It's a sweet song, but super depressing. I like to listen to it on repeat for hours at a time. XD

12. This represents the changes in Florian and Ray's relationship. They always have a sort of volatile relationship but they are drawn to each other in ways they both don't understand. They're trying to feel each other out to see where they want to take the relationship but they both know that they will probably never be able to be away from each other.

13. I love this song so much. It's actually the theme song for me and my SO. XD A song about how a man went through some horrible experiences and he's surprised he's still alive and even more surprised to find someone that he's madly in love with. Ray and FLorian to a "T" right? (A sad note about this song; Tim Armstrong wrote it for his wife Brody (from The Distillers). She ended up cheating on him and divorcing him.)

14. Florian obviously has insecurities (and who wouldn't when dumb Ray keeps bringing up that debt!) and this song describes them perfectly.

15. I think this fits the Gorgeous Carat Galaxy storyline because I get the vibe that Ray doesn't really want to do anything without Florian, even if he bitches about it. He's willing to do pretty much anything he asks.

16. I love the cross-dressing scene so much.

17. OH COME ON. YOU KNOW YOU THOUGHT OF IT.

18. Me thinks no explanation is needed....
