I got the best sympathy card from one of the best people I know and I just wanted to type it here because it just says it all so perfectly.
Dear Friend:
I know that only you can truly understand the sadness of your loss. But I want you to know you're not alone--that I want to help in any way I can...
If it's a shoulder to lean on mine is here. If it's a kind word or a hug, I have as many as you need. If it's time to be alone, I understand. If it's someone to talk to, I'd listen....
Just let me know whenever you need me. And even if it's a while before you're ready just know I"m here- thinking of you and caring so much about all you're going through.
