(no subject)
So, we're "moved in" pretty much. The kitchen is still a disaster zone but overall things look good. Our basement is kind of wet and smelly, but I don't plan on spending a ton of time down there. Also it's smelly because it's wet and wet because it's been POURING recently and I think we need a chimney tune up... ugh I gotta call those people today. So many people to call.
Our furniture came yesterday. It was THUNDERDOME. They almost couldn't get Michael's chest up the stairs, and the dresser was the more DIFFICULT piece. It totally came in through the band room window. We had no idea what we were going to do until the guy came back downstairs and said "Can you move your drums? Make me a path." I still don't really know how he did it. But the bedroom looks great and so does the living room, good choices.
I have a functional coffee maker now- I returned the second one I bought and went for good ol' Mr. Coffee. Ta-da.
We're sort of beginning to feel like it's our house but it still may take a while. Living together is excellent- really cuts down on driving back and forth time among other things. We share one car really well, though I attribute that to the fact that we both... work from home right now hah. Still though!
I guess this evening we're going to the Wunderbar with Michael's dad, Mehgann, and Joe. That means spaghetti and meatballs!
I want to bake some cookies or something but I haven't cleaned the oven out yet and I want to do a really good job of that first. Right now if I baked something in it it PROBABLY would not catch on fire, but who knows...
