Old school love.

There I was, having dinner and dessert with my oldest friend in the world (This is not an exaggeration. She really is my oldest friend in the world. In primary school I made use of her large frame to hide from boys who were designed solely to pinch me) talking about the same issues which have been the bulk of our conversations for roughly four years or so. When we were younger it was about our parents or thin and long boys. Now it has degenerated to inane, shallow, absurd things which probably hold very little value in the category of Most Important Conversational Topics Of All Time, but things we love anyway and have been the solid foundation of this rather incredible friendship. It was a good meal, but as usual also very fattening and much too decadent for our sometimes-diet. In her defence she had just gotten her pay. I was just highly stressed and hungry.

Me: This feels like a Sunday.
Her: (Looks at her ice-cream, then at my azuki-matcha-in-a-bowl-thingum.) Yours or mine?

Oh how I love relationships that materialise out of thin air.
