Moms say the darndest things...

So I called my Mom on the way home from work. We talked about the move, the fact that Tom's leaving for the big climb tomorrow and other life stuff. She ended the conversation with:

"Ok, well, go get him off."

She *meant* help him pack and make sure he gets to the airport. I *thought* "she figured out my plans for the evening!"

LOL. Mum's are great. :) Mind you, if that had come from my mother she really would have meant it. She has told me I should sow my oats, so to speak, before I settle down again. :)

Now, my *grandmother* is the one that's more likely to have told me that and meant it in that way. Gram is only 35 years older than me.

At work - I was talking with a co-worker about going on a date - and he said, "Well I want a blow-by-blow tomarrow about it!" and when I stared at him, he realized what he said. It was hilarous and priceless!

There was an email that circulated a while ago about office quotes like that - that were intended to be perfectly innocent but sounded quite dirty. The only other one I can remember right now is "I want it on my desk first thing in the morning!"
