Every little thing she does is tragic

So, today we're going to learn about a fatwa, because idiomagic is also out there educating the masses, and today I agree with her/him that the news is actually worth updating some people on. Today, a fatwa was issued, by one of the guys who opposed the last SUPREME LEADER being a dick in the last revolution, and the current SUPREME LEADER being a dick all the time. (This is exactly how the BBC would report this stuff if they could) So, a fatwa can be issued by anybody with an ijazat attadris wa'l-ifta, which I'm not going to link because the short of it is that it's basically like a religious law degree. The fatwas that people make range from hits on Salman Rushdie (for some reason) to making Mickey Mouse prohibidado, to a sweeping condemnation of oppressive government. If one of these things does not sound like the other, that's because some clerics have sense. Others don't. Some people issue fatwas when they aren't qualified. From what I understand, though, this particular fatwa carries the sort of weight we might consider a Supreme Court ruling to have.

It's an interesting time to be Iranian, I guess. Poor guys.

There are still questions here: Can they succeed without the army? Can they succeed without fighting for themselves? Can they succeed using economic power, or without fighting at all? When or if they do get their country, what's going to happen, what are they going to do with it? The short story: I dunno. In the meantime, they need to get back their network access.

I know we all have a lot on our plates, but if you can do something, it would be more than a lot of people. And if you could tell your buddies, maybe, so that the Iranian government becomes less concerned about stamping people and more concerned about being stamped.
