[Bordering along the forest and to the village is a young, blond-haired man looking lost like most New Feathers. The standard cotton trousers and book is tucked underneath his arm yes he is dressed, though he takes the book out to flip through it.]

What, no map or anything? That's useless. [He puts the book to his side but doesn't close it. He ( Read more... )

[Look at all these dudes possibly concerned for your health, Sheena.]

I think you're a long way from home.

[It's okay, a cute girl came first!]

Yeah, I'm thinking that t-- wait, who actually said that? [Because that sounded pretty near, but...]

If you can hear me, I'll trust you haven't lost your journal yet? Apparently, speaking through books is the way to communicate around here.

That empty book? [And he lifts it back into his view] What, really? Did talking to each other become out of style around here or something? Good thing I didn't throw it away then.

Hey, where is this? While talking books are actually pretty interesting, I think I'd like to know how far away I ended up!

Who knows? There are some strange people around here.

I'd like to know that, too. But this place is called Luceti. It's a boring, backwater village, but you're kind of stuck here with the rest of us.

That sounds enticing and all, but I've got other places to get to.

You're not the only one. We're stuck here.

-- What!? You're saying we've been kidnapped!? Explain, book guy!

[Book guy. Ohh, the irony.]

It's Caesar. And yes, we've been kidnapped. By some creeps called the Malnosso.

Ugh, what did they do? Drug us? I can't believe it...!

[He can already hear the verbal telling off from dad!]

What kind of hotshot are you to get kidnapped for, Caesar? They must be wanting a pretty big price.

It is rather frustrating indeed.

You'd think so! Unfortunately, I don't think it has anything at all to do with being a Silverberg. Most of the people here are pretty average. [Because, you know, being a Silverberg, he's totally above average.] We're supposed to be their experiments.

What? Come on, it's gotta have something to do with that! I mean, a Silverberg and the son of the Toran Republic's president? Aw geez, I never imagined I'd get kidnapped of all things--

Wait, what; experiments??

[Oh, so that's who he was. He was expecting some regular from Gregminster, but hey, this isn't so bad, either. It's different.] Most of the people here aren't even from our world. They don't know what it means to be a Silverberg. Or, um. The son of the Toran Republic's president.

We're experiments. They're trying to find, uhh... I don't know. Something. I forget. But they do some very strange things to us from time to time.

Not many people would know what it's like to be me! Or a Silverberg I guess, but there's more of you around than me.

... So hold on. This experiment thing; what's one of the things it happens to include?

[don't say wings don't say wings it's just a party item]

...something like that.

Just one of the things? Uhh. I guess a good example of that would be, say, the wings on your back. [Sorry, bro. :|b] But there are lots of other things, too. I haven't been here very long myself, but I hear they can turn out to be really rather odd sometimes.
