PERSONALITY:
For the most part, Zidane’s a carefree and relaxed guy. He’s pretty close to the people in Tantalus, and he’s one of those people that make friends easily. He’s outgoing and really does care about the people around him.
Saying that, he’s a very loyal person as well. He’ll protect his friends at all costs, and he’ll try his best to make sure that nothing will happen to them. Zidane gets upset and angry when things like that get out of control, and people get hurt. Not just his friends - others too. If something happened that he thinks he could have stopped, he practically beats himself up over it. Take Cleyra for instance: he expressed frustration that he couldn’t stop the eidolon from completely destroying the place.
On a lighter note, he finds joy in teasing other people - especially Steiner (fondly nicknamed as Rusty). It was a pastime he had going there, one where it usually ended up with Steiner yelling. It amused Zidane to no end however, and never really gave up on it. He’s also got a sarcastic streak that flares up every now and then along with his teasing, making him quite the insufferable boy sometimes.
Probably from being raised by Baku, it gave Zidane the ability to think on his feet. If he doesn’t have a plan already in his head, it doesn’t take him long to come up with at least something to go on. If not, then hey - go along with it and see what happens, right? He’s resourceful, and can use lots of things to his advantage if he needs to.
Well, I’m sure that everyone’s been waiting for this one - the guy will hit on anything that has boobs. He gets in trouble for it by Garnet, but old habits die hard. He’s not afraid to speak his mind either when it comes to women either (remember that famous line “oooh, soft!”), which…also gets him in trouble.
Let’s just say Zidane’s always in trouble with women.
But even though there’s all that, he’s very attached to Garnet. He’s overprotective of her, and will go more out of her way to protect her than with most of the others. Zidane’s very attached to her in a way that when she became Queen of Alexandria, he sat himself in a bar and wouldn’t move.
"I had a whole speech ready for her. But it would've been a lie! How could I lie to her!? 'Good luck, Dagger! I'll be watching you from afar.' 'Come find me if you need someone to talk to.' It's a big fat lie! That's not how I feel at all! That's not how I feel...at all."
When he goes through those depression states (which are few and far in between), his friends help him out of it, whether he likes it or not. They stay persistent enough to get it through his head to cheer up and put a smile back on, because really…who wants a sad Zidane?
ABILITIES:
He’s a thief, which means that he can steal objects from people. He’s a very fast and agile fighter; however his attacks aren’t as powerful as some. He doesn’t use magic either, not like the rest of the people in the game.
He does have something called a Trance mode that happens typically when there’s a massive influx of emotion. (Or in the game, a bar fills up…the more you get hit, the more it fills up.) It gives Zidane more strength, and actually gives him some skills such as:
Free Energy: Five different symbols exploding on a target.
Tidal Flame: Enemies are struck by a wave of fire.
Scoop Art: Energy attacks the target.
Shift Break: A vortex appears underneath an enemy to damage it.
Stellar Circle 5: An energy tornado.
Meo Twister: Energy blasts that come from above.
Solution 9: Another energy blast that are seemingly caused by symbols.
Grand Lethal: Several beams of energy that attack all targets.

So what’s the deal here? I get this is a game and all, but this…thing I’m talking on right now doesn’t make much sense to me. Neither does anything else, either.
