i'm driving a truck
nyc last weekend with lissy, rachna, thomas and david. We slept in central park and on Kyle G.'s couches. We did the city from 5am to 5am and then got five hours of sleep and did 12 more hours before we had to head west. It was amazing and the lack of sleep added to its charm.
I'm working on my self control and my fingers are looking rather lovely because of this. I have never been able to grow my finger nails out even the slightest and now i'm to the point where I might go get a manicure just because this is something that hasn't happened in my 21 years of existence.
I hitched a ride to Medina last night with Geoff. I needed to bring my brother's truck back so that I can go buy a new door to raplace samantha's. she had a little party at our apartment while we were gone and I didn't really appreciate what was found when we got back, so I made a point of it. and now her door needs replaced. no big deal.
When I was home last night I did some catching up that has been unexpected for the past year and a half. Mostly, I'm just glad that if I decided I need to say something, I'm allowed, which hasn't been the case since two Novembers ago.
One of my best childhood friends will be coming back to America in October and I'm elated. I'm very much looking forward to catching up with Drew and also forcing him to be a bigger part of my life than I'm sure he expects.
I have already started shutting people out, and it's probably going to become much more obvious if something doesn't change. It's not that I'm unhappy, i'm mostly bored with some of the people in my life. I will work on myself, and the few friendships that seem to have some type of value at the other end, but if not, i'm happy to forget and never bother to say goodbye.
