6:27 update

Jun 18, 2006 06:27

The tea eggs are now done.

All of them succeeded nicely, except for one, but that one was a faulty one to begin with. Good thing that I boiled more of them than I really needed!

I've also boiled the spinach for the soup. It is now drying out a bit before it heads to the chopping block and to the fridge.

Then, it is time to dig out noisy utensils of doom and whip cream and other things together.

In the middle of these updates, my computer decided to crash; the HD LED was burning without a clue why -- the Event Log is silent about whys and hows. Bah. HD diagnostics (yay, I cook and debug computers at the same time) reveal nothing amiss. I guess it was just "normal" W2K Pro temper tantrum, though my 'puter has been loyal and nice for a good while.

I'm keeping an eye on you, you bastard. Don't you think that this is a free licence for you to crash like that, or you'll get switched to a Linux desktop faster than you can say "Fedora Core 5 distro onna DVD-R". It is not like I use this system for anything else but browsing, MU*ing, IRC'ing, and I can get gno-catan instead of the miserable cheating MSN version I've been playing...

Right. I'm gonna give my SO thirty minutes of sleep (I woke him up earlier, blegh), then there shall be noise.

I think I'm gonna tackle veggies and mushrooms once the pie is done. Then I could do the patties, and after that, I could try and see if I could sleep at LEAST an hour. Probably not, though. My heart's still racing from caffeine.
