(no subject)
i dont know how i feel about this: i have a favorite author. but it's marian keyes. everyone who has read her says she's really funny. but its very chick-lit. as in, the books are pastel colors and have drawings of girls doing girly things on them. but i am happy to be very into books again.
i went to this really awesome used bookstore yesterday and the girl looked at me like i was schizo. then she started talking about how awesome marian keyes was, and she goes to cornell, so that helps.
this is what i bought:
Positively Women (a women's AIDS support group)
2 Marian Keyes books
Dorothy Parker's Elbow (about tattooing. apparently dorothy parker had star tattoos on her elbows)
and Yuppies Invade my House at Dinnertime, about the gentrification of Hoboken, NJ.
whatever, at least i read now. for awhile, school made me HATE reading because i had so much to do that when i finished the un-fun reading, books were the last thing i wanted to look at. i think working at the COOP fixed that.
