It is the first night/day of Chanukkah, and we are actually lighting candles this year! We are a bit late (it should have been done at sundown) but I was actually still at work at sundown because I am a bad Jew. So I guess it's appropriate that we lit our candles after midnight. Also, I like money. This is why I work past sundown. We also lit candles at our friend Debbie's house so I guess we aren't TERRIBLE Jews. Also, I should be saying "I" not "we" since technically Brent is not Jewish. I also taught him the first prayer over the candles for Chanukkah tonight. He's a fast learner.
As of yesterday, I work at the Skokie store, and as of last Friday, the Lake Forest store doesn't exist any more. I am happy about everything except that I won't be able to work with my (now-former) coworker Deisy, who is awesome. But we're keeping in touch, and I think her 4-year-old daughter Jessica has a crush on me because she keeps asking "when are we going to your friend's house, Mommy?" Also I sometimes get calls from Deisy asking if I'm busy because Jessica wanted to call me and won't stop crying until she calls me. The girl is super cute, as is her brother.
It is after 12:30pm. I really need to go to bed. Good night, peoples and mices and blankets and kitties and books and whiskies and doors and tables and other things.
