"I Don't Want To Go Back To Prision"

I just got back from the Snohomish County Prosecutors office in Everett to talk not only with a prosecutor, but with a "Victim Advocate." She looked over my witness statement I made with the Bothell Police and told me that it was detailed to the point where she didnt have that many questions for me. She asked me about how long he was in Blockbuster for , and how long the robbery took place. I told her that the guy was in there for about 20-30 minutes total, with the robbery taking about 5-10 minutes. The Robber was actually caught at the Woodinville Subway trying to rob it and then the guys friends held him down and the police nabbed him. He confessed to about 8 robberies including ours, and ours was the only one in Snohomish County, so there building a case against him here. The prosecutor thinks that we have enough to charge him, so in two weeks she is going to get the paper work into charge him with first degree robbery. Since he is in King County Jail he wont be at his court date in Snohomish County, so they will put a warant out, and after he is done in King County Snohmish will get to try him. It actually works in his benefit to plead gulity because he would then serve the highest time plus a few months, then serving each charge seperatly. The prosecutor showed me the break down and apparently he fits into a category 7 (9 is the highest for the crime of 1st degree robbery) thats anywhere from 106 months t0 120 months in prison), or 9-10 years ... The robber wanted to make sure both Jamie and I knew hoe horrible he felt when he sobered up, after robbing us, and he hoped that we were doing ok, which I thought showed that he did have a heart, and wasnt cold, or even calculating kind of a guy.
