To Liv, Mike, Gloria, or anyone else who does sewing cosplay:

I need help putting together a cosplay outfit. One of my requests is pretty simple: I'm buying a pink cardigan sweater and I need the buttons taken off and a zipper put in.

it shouldnt be too hard. i asked my mom if the button to zipper on a cardigan is doable for me (it is). the only thing is the holes may be a little noticeable. i'd hafta look at it and as my mom for some advice.

as for the arrow pattern, if you can obtain a better picture of the arrows, i can help you create a stencil and then paint them onto your socks as you wear it.

2 weeks huh? If you were free today (monday) i would definitely help you. I'm free Wednesday (all day) this week, after 5:30 Tues, Thurs, Friday. Saturday I'm working 3-11 pm. Next week should be very open. Lemme know when you're available. I'm more than happy to help.

This week is kind of bad for me; I'm working like crazy then partying all weekend haha. But next week, monday & tuesday are my free-all-day days.

As for the buttons, I was thinking of folding the strips of fabric (one side with the button holes, the other side where the buttons used to be) inside and sewing them into the sweater.

I can easily sketch out the arrow pattern, I'm just not sure what type of paint to use, etc.

I need to run out and buy some leather though and paint it white as well (for the necklace). Do you know if I could use the same paint for the socks and the leather?

haha partying, crazy girl XD

paint wise...i want to say fabric paint? i'd hafta do some research on whether or not there is a paint paint out there that can adhere to both leather and the sock material. (im sure there is, just dont want to spend lots of $$$)

Fabric paint is fine. I might also get an inch-wide flat brush because I hate fabric paint straight from the bottle; it's too thick and gets all puffy and hard.
